 ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU

My name is Richa Kaushal. I am a Board Certified Pediatrician, Clinical Assistant Professor at UCSF Fresno, California and a mother of two
boys 4 and 1 years old.

As a mother of two young children juggling the pandemic, homeschooling, and home, I understand and appreciate the value of time.

This pandemic has given me an opportunity to address various pain points that parents have often expressed to me.

The hassle of driving to the doctor's office with multiple kids in tow while managing work and homeschooling, fear of getting exposed to the virus, not being able to reach the doctor on weekends, holidays, after hours , not being able to see a pediatrician at an urgent care or ER after hours of waiting are some of the reasons why parents are frustrated. Some parents have often expressed to me that our healthcare system needs to be "fixed".

So, while I can not fix the system entirely by myself, I can do my part in trying to address some of these pain points for parents by offering telemedicine consults.

Children are not little adults. Their illnesses and issues are unique and that is why they should be seen and addressed by someone who is exclusively trained to treat children.

So, if you can relate to some or all of the above points, I am here for you as your virtual Pediatrician who can guide, advise and talk you through many of the issues and concerns that come up with your baby or child.

About Dr. Kaushal

Care that you can count on

Every child deserves a Pediatrician who has an inherent passion for kids, who cares immensely and communicates effectively and has sharp diagnostic skills.  These qualities are second nature to Dr. Kaushal-she brings them to her everyday practice.

Her expertise comes from her extensive experience working in newborn nurseries, inpatient floors, emergency rooms and outpatient clinics.  She also continues to be a faculty at the Department of Pediatrics at UCSF, Fresno.

Being a mother of two, she knows all too well that parents need a reliable and accessible Pediatrician who is ready to help whenever the need arises.

Over the years, she realized that a lot of common medical issues that kids develop can be easily taken care of with the help of a telemedicine consult. All it takes is an experienced Pediatrician who is willing to listen attentively, observe carefully and act quickly.

She knows all too well that timely care is the essence of highest quality care. Her vision is to cut down the barriers to Pediatric care and bring a Board Certified Pediatrician to care for your baby, child and adolescent from the comfort of your home.

Special Interests

Newborn and infant medicine is a special interest of Dr. Kaushal's. Having guided hundreds of new parents throughout pediatric training and then subsequently as teaching physician at UCSF Fresno Community Hospital, she loves to engage and guide expectant and new parents and guide them through the challenges that come with having a newborn at home. Breastfeeding and challenges that accompany the same are some of her passions.

Child behavior issues, sleep training and potty training struggles are other topics that Dr. Kaushal is passionate about.
